I am currently recruiting for an SQL DBA / Database Architect with Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS experience for a 6 months contract role in South Wales.
AWS/AZURE/SQL/DBA/RDBMS/GDPR/CLOUD/AZURE/AMAZON/AWS/RAVEN/POSTGRES/PHYTON/C++/RUBY/POWERSHELL/AGILE
You will have a good understanding of principles of GDPR and 5+ more years of experience as a SQL DBA/Database Architect.
You will have a few years of experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS.
You will have good experience in implementing strategic databases design change and you will have extensive knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems).
Also, you will have extensive knowledge of data backup, recovery, security and integrity best-practice plus good knowledge of database query languages (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, MySQL, PL SQL, PostgreSQL)
You will get involved in:
- Determine database policies, procedures and standards
- Ensure high availability, quality and security of database systems
- Monitor Database performance, tune
- Ensure data quality and integrity standards
- Own the strategic design the plan for company's database systems
Desirable skills:
- Scripting languages experience (e.g. Python, C++, Ruby, PowerShell)
- Experience working within an Agile environment
