The role involves developing and supporting in-house software to support the business.
You will be supporting day-to-day monitoring of custom software and server environments. Scripting installation, maintenance and monitoring.
Developing automation and business management systems to support the firm's daily and monthly processes.
Building micro-services, batch processes, data pipelines and web UIs.
Supporting both technical and end users to solve problems and develop new solutions.
The role would suit a Junior to Mid-Level programmer with 2+ years of experience.
The applicant is expected to be familiar with source control and with some knowledge of dev ops.
-Some experience with web development (Javascript frameworks / NodeJS).
-Experience with a C-style language (C#, Python, Java etc).
-Experience problem solving, working around issues, working on a wide range of problems using a variety of different solutions (Excel addins, small apps, database tasks, scripted jobs etc).
-Some experience with monitoring and dashboarding.
-A working knowledge of Linux, Docker, SSH.
-A working knowledge of cloud providers (AWS etc) and virtual machines.
The technical environment is a mix of Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Ubuntu Server. GitHub, JIRA and Jenkins for development. Development in C#, Python, ReactJS, some VBA, Excel. Services on Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker, Airflow, Azure.
The work environment is friendly and exciting. We are an established business that recently launched as a new company. We have new offices, a mix of people, and a range of new projects to work on.
