EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY:

Sopra Steria is currently recruiting for a Technical Auditor to join a new team, based on site at a key Government client in the South West of England.

The team will be involved in providing a solution to deliver secure access to information services for users across various locations in the UK and overseas, providing a configurable network that has a single sign-on.

This contract is for an initial two months, with the option to extend for at least another six beyond that.

On client's instructions, due to the urgency, nature and length of the assignment, the successful candidate must have current security clearance to a high level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Technical Auditor will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and implementing the technical controls required, and highlighting any risks that could impact on successful exit and transition, or future delivery.
  • Carrying out in-depth reviews, inspections and audits of all supplier furnished material, including information and assets, in compliance with the specifications and technical descriptions as prescribed in the individual contracts.
  • Coordinating and advising on the scope of the inspections and audits.
  • Carrying out reviews of processes and identifying areas that the business should consider for additional investment, and areas requiring an audit focus.
  • Producing reports and recommendations to Deployed Platform Services based on the findings of the inspections and audits undertaken.
  • Monitoring the status of corrective action post any inspection, review or audit.

ESSENTIALS SKILLS:

  • Have a good understanding from a technical perspective of military deployed CIS and associated CIS infrastructure.
  • Experience in IT Service Management, in particular Service Transition and Service Operations.
  • Experience in negotiating and influencing at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience as a Service Transition Manager or equivalent in a large scale global organisation.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of IT services, service architecture, service readiness and the associated deliverables/outcomes required.
  • Communication skills to communicate information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate technical jargon into business related decisions.
  • Writing skills, ability to communicate information effectively to management, project, technical staff and other stakeholders, and to produce required technical documentation.
  • Confidence to present technical and programmatic briefings to senior MOD stakeholders.
  • Have a strong customer focus, willingness to take ownership, and work at pace.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Have a high absorption rate for understanding new technologies and for keeping pace with change
