FinXL IT Professional Services is an established innovative Australian company providing technology enabled business solutions and consulting services across a number of industries including Telecommunications, Commercial, Government and Finance.

We are currently looking for a Solutions Architect to take over a piece of work that is well underway. You will oversee the technical design and transition of a sub agency from one department to another.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with other team members as well as business analysts, enterprise, solution and infrastructure architects, external stakeholders and technical experts to define and implement solution architecture.
  • Provide key input and direction in the creation, review and updating of other design artefacts and provide leadership and direction in the design, development and implementation of solution architect and other business strategies.
  • Develop, maintain and foster effective networks and liaisons, between internal technical teams, projects, other stakeholders in order to assist in the delivery of solution architecture.
  • Ensure all work is developed and documented in line with established whole of Government Enterprise Architecture processes, and recommend appropriate standards and protocols needed to establish industry standard and best practice architecture.
  • Research, analyse, interpret and report on a range of possible solutions in relation to complex business and technical issues, relevant to the associated deliverables, and develop schedules, status reports and Risk Management reports, on solution architecture deliverables in order to meet business requirements and expectations.
  • Assist in the identification, addressing and scheduling of issues, risks and solutions that may impact the successful implementation of business initiatives.

Key skills:

  • You will have a broad knowledge of various technology options across both applications and infrastructure with the ability to engage with stakeholders all at all levels.
  • System analysis activities on complex Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery
  • Awareness of ITIL framework or similar process methodologies
  • Awareness of PRINCE2 or similar project management methodologies
  • A degree level qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science is highly regarded
  • Awareness of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (eg TOGAF)
  • Cloud and IT automation technologies
  • ERP, CRM, Web, Social Media technologies
