Description
Beacon Hill has an opportunity for a Linux Systems Administrator with our client located in Independence, Ohio. This is a 6-12 month contract that could go permanent.
Position and Requirements:
The first 6 months will be spent primarily working with platform while they migrate from KVM to VMWare, then they will focus more on central platform which is already all VMWare. Needs to have done migrations before.
Helpful skills include:
System Admin exp around Linux (including CentOS)
They are NOT a Windows shop, so Mac exp, Open source, etc a plus
Automation skills (ansible, puppet, chef) extremely helpful
This person needs to be able to PM themselves. There is no dedicated VMWare Engineer, so this person will serve as a Subject Matter Expert.
