Job title: Quality Assurance Officer/Quality Technician

Type: Contract (6 months+)

Location: Buckingham

Salary/Rate: £15-£20 per hour

My client is a world leading manufacturing company supplying products to the automotive industry. Due to growth, they now require a Quality Technician to join the team. The individual should have exposure to quality processes gained within a manufacturing environment. The company offers a great working environment with a supportive and friendly culture, with genuine opportunities to develop and grow in the role.

The main focus of the role is to help the business improve the quality and performance of its equipment by working closely with suppliers, customers and the internal team to resolve issues with component, assemblies and machinery manufacture.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Manager in achieving quality improvements
  • Assist in producing and maintaining QHSE documentation for the Quality Management System
  • Training of staff on quality tools
  • Assist in the development of the internal audit schedule (ISO)
  • Participation in monthly meetings to review progress and issues from scheduled audits
  • Assist in evaluating non-conformances, recommend solutions including corrective action and future preventative action on quality issues raised internally and externally
  • Report all results & findings.
  • Liaise with the Customer Support, Engineering, Operations & Quality departments to continually improve processes & performance

Essential Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience and demonstrable success as a Quality Technician/Coordinator/Engineer within a manufacturing environment
  • An understanding and experience of working to ISO9001
  • Ability to travel occasionally if required, including overseas
  • Methodical and able to maintain an attention to detail.
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills.
  • PC Literate (Microsoft office).
  • Flexible approach to working under own initiative & as part of a team.
  • Keen to listen & learn new skills
