Description
A market-leader in industry-specific software, who are developing a suite of web portals and mobile-web applications, are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with good development skills for a 6 month initial contract.
The team is responsible for the design and implementation of solutions as well as building out the entire development and test frameworks. If you would like to be a part of an exciting new venture that is part of a world-class software development centre, then this role could be perfect for you.
As a key member of this team, you will:
- Devise and implement viable test automation approaches
- Develop team's projects functional automated tests
- Participate in requirements gathering for team's projects
- Identify, report and track issues to resolution
- Help developers reproduce errors, and ensure that defects are fixed
- Develop regression automated test suites
- Participate in documentation of project deliverables
- Analyse features during the design and development process to point out weaknesses or ambiguities
- Create/Review stories and test documents and matrices
- Review unit tests with development to understand overall test coverage
Requirements:
- Strong experience writing automated tests and creating test automation frameworks from scratch, especially Selenium and TestNG or JUnit
- Strong coding experience with Java, JavaScript, Python or an equivalent language
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile)
- Flexible, enthusiastic approach to work including a strong desire to learn new products and a new business domain
- Experience with BDD methodologies and tools such as Cucumber, JBehave, etc.
