Description:
We are looking for a Hadoop/Big Data Admin Architect to work on setting up, managing and tooling for the Non-relational Database setup (Hbase or Cassandra).
Responsibilities:
Responsible for running Hbase/Cassandra database service in production at scale.
He/she should know how to setup, operate and manage the new service.
Responsible for setup of tooling and monitoring for the new service.
Should be able to provide on-call assistance outside the working hours for issues with the new service setup.
Ability to assist in data modelling and designing is a plus.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science of Equivalent of relevant experience in this field.
Experience with Hadoop Stack like Yarn, HDFS, Spark and Hive is required.
Experience with Github is required.
Experience with monitoring frameworks such as Nagios is preferred.
Experience with Scripting such as Ruby, Shell is a plus.
