We are looking for a highly-motivated and experienced contract IT professional to provide technical expertise in upgrading and migrating their web & IP delivery applications between data centres. You will be used to working with and across multi-cultural teams, happy to work autonomously, an excellent communicator and an accomplished problem-solver.
Working as part of the global IT Web & IP Delivery Applications team you will be exposed to many different applications and technologies in a highly dynamic environment, ensuring the operational availability of web & IP delivery services to the business's global community.
Key Responsibilities
- System upgrades to work in Docker containers
- Planning and coordinating server migrations
- Upgrade and service improvement of existing services
- Maintain technical documentation
- Maintain and enhance monitoring of services
- Linux & Windows Server Management
Experience
- 3+ years' web applications and services support and migration experience
- Perl, Python, Java, or PHP programming experience
- Experience working with containers (Docker, Rancher)
- Experience with configuration/troubleshooting web-based technologies
- Experience with common open source tools
- Experience working with dynamic HTML components: AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, XHTML
- Oracle and MySQL Databases
- Atlassian Tools (Jira/Bamboo) experience
- Cloud based computing (Azure, AWS)
- Experience with Source Control methodologies (eg SVN/Git)
- AGILE sprint working methods
