Procurement Specialist - SAP/Ariba
SUMMARY
Our client is currently part way through the implementation of their procurement transformation programme to raise the bar in how they execute and manage day-to-day purchasing, receiving and invoicing transactions with suppliers. As part of that transformation programme is the Global deployment of Ariba Procure-to-Pay (P2P). Once fully deployed the system will transact approx. one-half of all purchases for the company and will process an estimated 500,000 transactions annually accounting for under $1 billion in purchases and manage a supply chain of 6,000+ suppliers.

This role is responsible for setting up electronic supplier catalogues in the P2P/Guided Buying Ariba system to support the deployment wave, ensuring a much improved user experience and helping our client's leverage its commercial deals.

You will coordinate with Buyers, corporate Category Managers, Suppliers and Ariba Enablement Team to ensure that the proposed catalogue content, including pricing is accurate and suppliers are enabled in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL
Provide Catalogue and Supplier support within challenging project timeframes
Support Category Managers and Key stakeholders in the development of content strategy
Support/Initiate commercial discussion with catalogue suppliers, making sure content of the catalogue is agreed upon and available.
Support the design/documentation of catalogue content
Coordinate internally catalogue content agreements, catalogue approvals and testing
Coordinate the catalogue approval and activation flow
Recognizes and Communicates risk/issues
Works closely with Category Management to resolve catalogue discrepancies or issues
Supports hyper care and works with team to resolve Catalogue issues and reporting
Identify Gaps and propose continuous improvement measures
REQUIREMENTS
Travel - Approx. 10% as and when required
Licenses/Certifications - CIPS or working towards membership

Education - Degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Systems
EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of Supply Chain Systems including:

o Spend management
o Procurement
o Sourcing
o Category management
o Supplier performance & information management
Minimum 2 years of experience in Operational procurement or strategic sourcing

o Ariba downstream knowledge

o Electronic Catalogue enablement for
o Supply chain system and Transactional purchasing system catalogues
o CIF(Hosted) and Punch-out Level I & II(cXML based)

Experience and understanding of Catalogue Management systems in general including their structure, format and validation requirements.
Experience of working with UNSPCC Commodity Coding and Unit of Measurement Systems - desirable
High level experience in SAP applied systems
COMPETENCIES
Experience in e-procurements cloud based solutions (preferably Ariba)
SharePoint
Data manipulation and Analysis using MS Excel and Access
HP Application Lifecycle Management (HP ALM) development and testing system
Knowledge of other ERP software systems
Ability to understand business process and communicate to technical resources
