Desktop Support L2

We are currently recruiting for our client, a worldwide, leading consultancy company focusing on Management, IT Consulting, Technology Services and Outsourcing, to support their project in Romania.

Position Title: Desktop Support L2
Position Type: Contract
Start Date: March 2018
Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:
- Dealing with hardware and application support queries and issues reported to the support desk and escalated to the Desktop Support Administrator.
- Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 7, windows 10, Microsoft Office and any other authorized desktop/Laptop applications.
- Experience working with Remote troubleshooting Tools.
- Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
- Manage, support & coordinate Print Services. Experience working with Print servers.
- Knowledge dealing with End User Desktop backup Solutions (Desktop Backup as a service).
- Knowledge on Active directory Users & computers.
- Knowledge on SCCM Tools; O365, Outlook, sharepoint; Encryption software
- Experience working with Antivirus solution & virus/Malware Cleansing.
- Manage & provide technical support for Mobile devices/PDA/iPads etc.
- Performs remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
- Is able to remotely guide troubleshoot and manage Video conferencing equipment in the region
- Asset & Inventory Management.
- Returns defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs, maintains and restocks assigned parts inventory to ensure proper spare parts levels.
- When the restoration is beyond the scope of the computers, laptops, printers and any other authorised peripheral equipment the Desktop Support Administrator will escalate the issue/problem to appropriate Vendor/proper tier 3 support team member.
- Requesting and coordinating vendor support.
- Arranges for and/or prepares equipment for shipping/receiving.
- Use appropriate tools and methodologies to load, copy and customize operating system configurations for deployment.
- Develop technical knowledge of each system within company profile and specialised knowledge of certain nominated areas.

Qualifications:
- Desktop Support Technician Certification an advantage.
- Ability to operate tools, components and peripheral accessories.
- Software and Hardware Troubleshooting.
- Hands on Experience on Windows 7, Windows 10 Enterprise.
- Microsoft Office 2007, Office 2010 support, O365.
- Working knowledge of SCCM (Software distribution, Patch Management, Image Management).
- Experience working with Security applications (Antivirus, Encryption software like Bitlocker).
