We are seeking a Proposition Manager - Pensions with experience of the below requirements.The initial contract runs for 12 months and you will be working for a prestigious Banking organisation, based in Edinburgh.

£475 per day

Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of an exciting Workplace savings business recently awarded Company of the Year by the Financial Advisor Awards in 2017.

The role will support on the proposition integration and take to market strategy for the proposed acquisition of the Zurich Workplace Savings business.

  • You will be part of a team instrumental in ensuring the Workplace Savings proposition we offer to all of our customers is market leading. As well as continuing to invest in the Scottish Widows Workplace Savings proposition we have also announced our intention to acquire the Zurich Corporate Savings platform starting in early 2018.
  • Working directly with a Senior Manager and across a wider team you will have the opportunity to shape how we might bring the two propositions together. Working on areas such as asset acquisition, products, pricing and how we promote our proposition in the marketplace.
  • Post the acquisition of Zurich Corporate Savings business we have the opportunity to have an enviable broader market participation, a broader product suite with our already great worksite engagement tools and first class people from both businesses supporting our customers.
  • You will also be responsible with their Senior Manager and the wider team for the take to market strategy, working with a number of other teams across insurance including distribution, finance, group brands & marketing, insurance customer delivery, digital, legal, risk, HR, change and IT.

Key Accountabilities

  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to understand the Vision we are looking to achieve from the combined businesses.
  • Support the delivery of the combined proposition working with a variety of other stakeholders with a clear vision of what we are looking to achieve.
  • Work with our Policy team on defining the PR and thought leadership approach.
  • Work with our business partners including distribution and GB&M on our communication strategy across our advisors, employers and customers
  • Support on the acquisition of new products, quickly build knowledge on these new products (Contract & Trust-based), and any regulatory or governance approvals required.
  • Support on defining a pricing strategy for these products
  • Help to deliver our operating model across the combined business.
  • Provide regular updates to the program on our progress with key milestones, managing any risks that we encounter.
  • Ensure all appropriate feedback mechanisms are in place with other areas of the organisation.
  • Support the project team in managing our implementation in line with budget
  • Ensure continuous improvement in all proposition development activities.

Key Capabilities and Experience

  • Strategic Thinking - ability to assess different strategic models to best meet our business outcomes. M&A knowledge is desirable in the role but not essential.
  • Business acumen - ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of customers' needs and ideally a good knowledge of pensions, preferably corporate pensions (Workplace Savings).
  • Communication and Impact - able to present their approach, proposals and issues in a clear and succinct manner, verbally and visually
  • Delivering results - a proven track record of delivery on projects and take to market including working with both internal and external advisors.
  • Ability to make the complex simple - the pensions market is complex and undergoing significant change. Customer need tends to be simple and simple easy to understand propositions are key.
  • Managing Relationships - able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Personal Development - a track record of continuous professional improvement displaying the desire to continually improve how we operate and what we deliver for our customers.
