Commodity Management Contract 11 months Cork or Limerick.
My client a leading name in their global industry is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Commodity manager to join them on a contract basis in either their Cork or Limerick locations.
You will be expected to track new technology development for assigned products/suppliers. You will drives alignment between Supplier roadmaps and my client line of business roadmaps. You will negotiates product cost and contracts as appropriate. You will Drives suppliers to improve their scorecard performance. Reports commodity and supplier performance on a monthly basis. You will be expected to Implements my clients initiatives with supply base as required. You will Identify opportunities for supply chain optimisation and implements as appropriate. You will identifies suppliers that provide relevant technology for products. Identifies cost targets for relevant roadmap products.
Successful candidates will with limited direction, organise or leads cross-functional commodity team and drives commodity metrics, strategies and objectives while conducting risk analysis and recommending mitigation strategies
Develops and gains business buy in for complex RFQ
In addition to making supply chain optimisation recommendations, participates in post-mortem analysis and process updates to support new products
Drives resolutions for issues within the supplier and negotiates product cost and contracts, involving Senior Management as appropriate
Tracks and monitors new technology development and supports supplier integration with organisation strategy
Responsible to develop and maintain contact and build relationships with key suppliers.
