Database/Glossary Analyst - Financial Services - Scotland
A Database/Glossary analyst is required by my client, a Financial Services organisation based in Edinburgh to maintain and enhance the business glossary which is the banks central source of all business terms and ownership information which supports and delivers this to the businesses & functions.
You will be responsible for
- Undertake updates to the Business Glossary including creation and maintenance of all records
- Preparation of papers to support governance processes relating to business terms, Key Data Elements and data ownership
- Ensure all central records are maintained in a consistent format and in line with defined standards
- Support project resource in creation of definitions for new business terms and amendments to existing definitions
- Identify synonyms and escalate as appropriate
- Build and manage an effective network across a diverse range of businesses and functions and actively engage stakeholders across the Bank
- Collate metrics on a regular basis in order to report these within senior data forums
- Key interface between business areas in the identification of ownership and will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders.
- Support technical and business teams in the delivery of specific projects with regard to business terms, KDEs and ownership
The successful candidate will have proven, demonstrable experience/understanding of
- Data quality and data governance frameworks
- Business terminology within Financial Services
- Data Analysis
- How data is utilised in Financial Services
Rate: £250-£350/day
