A leading Financial Services company based in Bristol are looking for a Finance Manager to work within Insurance Finance.
The role will be an initial 6 months contract with a high chance of extension.
Key responsibilities:
- As a respected advisor, the role holder will provide both challenge and foresight (anticipating outcomes from todays' decisions) and enable delivery, aligned to approved budget with governance compliance.
- To articulate the story behind monthly results to senior stakeholders, including Accountable Execs for the Programme, using the knowledge of the cost base drivers.
- To generate innovative ideas on cost management in order to contribute to and influence Senior Executive cost planning and forecasting.
- The role holder will co-ordinate regular 'deep dive' reviews (incorporating financial and commercial analysis) for the Programme Workstreams; engaging with Delivery Leads and Senior PM's.
Key skills/experience:
- Financia Services experience
- Stakeholder Management - develop strong relationships across the Programme to provide financial insight and robust cost management
- Communication & Planning - a successful 'No Surprises' mantra based on the ability to step back, look ahead, plan priorities and communicate with stakeholders/team
- Analytical - the ability to read numbers, understand the story, concisely articulate the 'What', 'So What', 'What now'
- Time management & Prioritisation - the ability to prioritise multiple, competing deliverables (both routine and ad hoc) and manage expectations with stakeholders accordingly.
