In search of a proven Feild Technician to join nextgen working with a major wireless vendor in the telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to a multi-functional team of RF engineering and deployment, Program Management, Core Networking, RF Engineering, Transport and Technical/Training Support to fulfil multi-technology wireless network deployment across customer markets
- Night/Weekend/Shift work required
- On-Site Field Support, technical work, installations, testing, and troubleshooting
- Install, Integrate and commission Samsung baseband unit to company standards
- Support commissioning and integration of Samsung remote radio heads to Samsung specifications
- Support troubleshooting of all T-1, ATM backbone, microwave backhaul transmission methodology
- Support RMA process tracking and documentation for MMBS equipment
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years work experience in the wireless industry, Bachelors Degree a plus
- Knowledge of CDMA/EVDO and LTE/Volte technologies
- Must have a strong work ethic, integrity and work extremely well in a team environment
- Aptitude for creativity and innovation
- Knowledge of Base Station Vendor equipment (Samsung, Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson)
- Proficient in MS Office package
- Flexible during times of change
- Strong troubleshooting skills and problem resolution skills
- Strong written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Compensation based on a standard 50hr work week:
Pay Rate: $41ph ($20ph W2 + $120 per diem 7 day)
Overtime Rate: $30ph
Weekly Total: $1940 ($1100 W2 + $840 per diem)
+ $500 per month in expenses -.Includes: Gas, Tolls and Cell Phone
+ Full Benefits: Medical, Visual & Dental provided by Aetna
* Pre-approved Flight/deployment expenses for any Samsung requested travel outside the region/market are reimbursable. Preapproval must be in writing and approved by a Director level or above
