Data Protection Consultant/Officer- 6-month contract
Our Client, a large Public-Sector organisation are looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer to join them in a newly created contract role to delivering against some tight and demanding deadlines in relation to Data Protection.
The role is offering up to £350 per day for a 6-month initial contract. The role is based in Ealing, W5.
Our candidate will, for the duration of the contract work with the internal Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Information Governance team, in assisting with our client's data protection workload.
Effectively they are getting an increased workload in respect of GDPR and are potentially having to assist other areas of the organisation with the work they need to undertake to ensure their department/workload is compliant.
We need our Candidate to come with:
- Commercial knowledge of Data Protection and its application to corporate environments
- Ideally public-sector experience regarding Data, Data Protection and FOI.
- Ideally hold valid, certification/qualification in Data Protection (eg BCS Certification in Data protection- Freedom of Information or be a Certified Practitioner in Data Protection of FOI.(experience as highly regarded)
- Ability to work across and alongside multiple stakeholders from across the business, from IT, to finance, to legal, HR, Senior Management and Directorate- as well as the existing Data Protection, Freedom of Information team
- GDPR awareness
- FOI awareness
- Recent experience working in/on corporate Data Protection in the UK.
