Solution Architect with developer background required for a project with a prestigious company based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Duration: Ideally from 02-Apr--Oct-2018 with options to extend thereafter.
A Nordic application implementation project is looking for a solution architect with developer background whom will take the full responsibility within the technical and architectural area. The role focuses on solution architect and does not include development on the company's integration platform, however, developer background and hands-on database knowledge is rewarded.
The project is responsible for implementing a management system (application) in the company across Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. One Nordic application for all countries to use. The application is developed and delivered by a supplier to the company. Data exchange with other company productions systems is designed and developed bythe company.
The application is installed at the company's Datacenter (Windows Application Server (Load balanced) and Oracle RAC Database) and accessed by end user via Citrix. It is a business critical application with 24/7 support and >50 integrations towards other productions systems. Fully deployed there will be >200 simultaneously users.
The project has been running for approximately 1 year and is in the end of implementation phase. The overall architectural picture is defined, however, there are still integrations to be defined and developed, and adjustments can arise during this phase of the project.
Role description:
The current solution architect is ending his/her employment and a replacement is required for the solution architecture role in the project.
Solution architect responsible for the architecture and technical aspects within the project. Since the project has been running for some time and is in the implementation phase, the focus is more on hands-on activities then drawing architecture concepts.
The responsibility includes eg the following:
- Lead and handle all technical queries
- Lead and design/define integration design for data to/from the Nordic application via the company's integration platform to the company's production systems and/or external systems (some are already defined and implemented)
- Analyze and secure high performance within infrastructure and end user perspective
- Support developers when developing and implementing integrations on the company's integrations platform
- Lead and support the Application supplier when developing and implementing the Nordic application in the company's environment
- Lead and support the company's IT Infrastructure outsourcing partners to secure high performance and stable application environment
- Understand business needs and transform that into IT requirements and secure required implementation
- Create and maintain Architecture documents (updates to already defined architecture documents such as SAC, ISA, create/update design documents for miner enhancements, etc.)
- Responsible for that the architecture is documented properly
- Support Test manager within Test area (stress tests, system integration tests, user acceptance tests, etc.)
- Support project manager within technical and architecture aspects
- Continuously report progress and abnormalities within architecture and/or technical aspects to Project manager and the Project team
Requirements:
It is expected that the Architect can work independently and will be one with the Project team.
Competence:
- Solution architect in complex IT project with high business involvement
- Architecture lead for IT and/or Business implementations
