Assistant Accountant - 6 month Contract
A leading global recruitment company in Glasgow are seeking to appoint a Regional Financial Assistant for the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Spain on an initial 6 month contract with the opportunity to go permanent. If you can demonstrate experience/knowledge of supporting Financial Management and have the ability to assist with the delivery of accurate regional information, you could be the Financial Assistant we're looking for.
What will you be doing?
As Regional Financial Assistant for the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Spain, you'll provide support to the Regional Financial Controller and assist with the delivery of accurate regional financial and management information. You'll also assist in the production of insightful monthly management variance reports for both Income statement and Balance Sheet, reviewing financial data to draw conclusions and provide insightful commentary. This would also include liaising with the local finance business partner to co-ordinate responses. In addition, you'll prepare Post-monthly Journals including payroll posting, prepayments release and raising accruals and review account balances, invoices and post journals on group level.
What skills/experience should you have?
- Good knowledge of financial and management reporting
- Dutch Language skills essential
- Previous experience of Netherlands, Luxembourg and Spain accounting with a focus on payroll and payroll tax accounting is desirable, coupled with Dutch, Afrikaans or Spanish language skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good analytical skills with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good attention to detail
