Commercial Manager/Corporate Commercial Executive/Procurement Manager/Commercial Business Partner - Procurement/Tendering - OJEU - Rail Industry experience an advantage - London - 6 months - paying up to 600 per day (inscope of IR35)
SmartSourcing are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Procurement Executive with strong experience on commercial management, ideally within the government or the public sector. Looking for someone to be responsible for sourcing multiple goods and services and managing key contracts. The successful applicant will assist in the development and tendering, contract performance and quality control of corporate suppliers.
This role would be an ideal match for someone with a knowledge and working experience of the rail industry. Preferably you will also have some experience in relation to supporting a new organisation/team, although this is not essential.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong public sector procurement sourcing/tendering skills, including knowledge and experience of using CCS Frameworks, etc
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Knowledge of contract development and management
- Experience with procurement processes including relevant regulatory requirements (eg OJEU and Public Contracts Regulations)
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, principles and best practice and supplier or third party management software
- Excellent communication, relationship management and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong people skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong ability to engage and manage stakeholders
- Experience in driving innovation and change in an established industry or organisation
- UK rail industry knowledge and experience is an advantag
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree ideally in commerce, finance and/or law or equivalent demonstrable experience
- MCIPS desirable
