Position Summary

Through his/her accounting expertise on complex products and services, coupled with his/her strong process knowledge, the Process Accounting Lead III is accountable to direct and/or carry out the execution, through effective, efficient Sarbanes-Oxley, regulatory compliant finance processes, in accordance with local and consolidated GAAP, useable, accurate and timely financial information from the point of transaction through financial close and finally to external reporting, which includes SEC, bankwide and/or local regulatory reports and board of director reports. This individual will upkeep the most complex accounting processes,such as those associated with capital markets, global markets, treasury and broker dealers, from a global and local perspective, required to transform data into information for reporting purposes. As such, the inidiviudal may review workpapers and documentations and provide guidance on the documention or development and improvement of accounting processes

This individual is vital in sustaining the integrity of the accounting process that s/he is responsible for supporting.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced accounting expertise and process knowledge & experience, the individual will support the objectives of the accounting process being supported and perform more complex accounting activities for transactions
  • Acting as a team lead for a complex accounting process, individual contributor and team member; review, develop and deliver process documentation, training content, and provide guidance for the accounting activities, especially complex principles.
  • Contribute and provide value added participation in defining finance processess for new business intiatives, partnering the business in ensuring new products are brought to market in the required control environment. Contribute to process improvement reviews with team as a part of ongoing exception management and continuous improvement activities in team activities to develop clearly defined, achievable team and individual goals. Capture and analyze scorecard KPI and measurement outcomes on a daily, weekly, and period basis.
  • Having a strong understanding of the importance of data integrity as it relates to financial information, ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness and accessibility of financial data. Enusre effective controls are sustained and in compliance with SOX, GAAP, FASB, IFRS and any other accounting pronouncements and policies required.
  • Lead, coordinate and perform ad hoc and special projects assignments, as required.
  • Monitor Regulatory and Accounting policy changes related to the businesses supported and ensure active communication with the business to help them navigate the changing environment.
  • Key Interactions:

    • Senior management, including the Corporate Controller & Regional Controllers. Head of Technical Accounting & Advisory Group
    • International Treasurer
    • Chief Operating Officer for EMEA Markets
    • Regional, legal entity, and country controllers, along with other R2R Team members including counterparts in (local & US); Head of Regulatory Reporting and SEC Reporting

    Minimum education

    Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience
