Description
We are looking for a "Build and Release Manager/Expert" to start from ASAP a contract until 15 November 2018, extensions possible, in LUXEMBOURG (EN-speaking environment).
Key responsibilities/skills:
- Define release management process and procedures for multi-application integration software
- Implement, manage and support release management procedures for the development and delivery of internal products.
- Provision of configuration management support for all development teams and business owners to facilitate build and deployment activities
- Continuous support of cross platform build systems, continuous integration systems, automated testing, packaging systems, multiple branched environments, and source control integration
- Contribute in developing best practices for infrastructure as code (eg: Puppet, Shell Scripting), software build tools (Maven, ANT, etc.) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, etc.).
- Contribute to adherence of procedures, methods, standards and controls to foster operational efficiency, monitor compliance, mitigate risks, and achieve unit results.
- Work with various IT teams to automate manual release/build related activities utilizing DevOps principles.
- Setup/Configuration/Administration of Binary Repositories like Nexus etc.
- Take ownership of resolving assigned tasks and problems resulting in problem resolution
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience within release management and software build and deployment
- Sound technical understanding of IT landscapes and related technical skills as well
- Experience in working out and develop software solutions to support complex business infrastructure and integrated systems
Other skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge of Release Management (planning and execution) combined with continuous integration experience
- Experience with Scripting/Build tools like MAVEN
- Hands-on working experience with the Source Code Management tools like GIT, Bitbucket
- Implementation Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes using various tools like Jenkins/Bamboo, and Nexus as binary repository.
- Understanding of application deployment processes
- Ability to document environments and procedures
Qualifications:
Must
- Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins/Hudson, Maven, etc.)
- Continuous Delivery tools (docker, puppet, etc.)
- Software Deployment
- Release management, software rollout techniques, deployment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work and communicate with team members in different time zones using latest communication tools
- Good written and oral communications skills.
- Hands-on working experience with Atlassian tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo
Should
- Java development - enhanced skills (plus log file analysis, packaging, etc)
- Experience with C# and C++ build and deployment
- DevOps experience working on agile projects
- Application platform as a Service
- Software Environments
Language skills:
- Fluency in English (proficient English writing)
- The knowledge of French and/or German is considered an advantage
