Senior Security Architect
My client, a leading insurer, requires an able and motivated security architect for a minimum six month contract in the City of London.
The following skillset is required:
Delivery architecture with a strategic long-term outlook , ¾ years ahead
Pro-active mindset, ability to conceive, build and implement road maps
Able to work independently
Professional qualification in IT security for example Certified Information Systems
AWS certification is preferred but not essential
Demonstratable experience in an IT security field, specifically Information Security Frameworks i.e. ISF, NIST, ISO.
Industry experience is irrelevant, the right mentality and motivation is essential
The successful candidate must be able to work on a light brief and display excellent initiative.

Duties:
Take ownership of one or more security domains
Liaise with project managers and solution architects to ensure delivery of value and minimise spend
Run workshops with stakeholders to drive issue resolution, make key decisions and capture next steps for issue resolution
Conduct strategic design reviews at key points of the project lifecycle to identify risks or capability gaps
Perform architecture governance using CISO and governance processes and board structures
Provide ad-hoc reports, viewpoints and white papers
Create roadmaps, be responsible for the planning and optimisation of complex projects, within a 1-2 year timeframe
Key security domains are: App & database security, IAM, infrastructure protection, security management services
Main duties include strategic reviews, working on existing projects and working with SMEs.
