QA Automation Engineer

Purpose of requirement
The purpose of the IT QA Automation Engineer is to design and develop QA Automation Test frameworks clubbed with effective qualitigation whilst maintaining quality and standards for all IT applications across the business.
Position Details
- Review of requirements in system/sub-system level, defines test requirements, specifications for consistency and convert them into test cases.
- Translates Test Policy and Test Strategy within his/her domain area into technical solutions for testing.
- Conduct research and make recommendations with respect to usage of new automation test techniques, methods, specifies requirements for, and evaluation of (possible) automation tools.
- Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch using tools like Selenium Web driver, Test Complete, Test Drive or UFT (any).
- Execution of system level tests both functional and non-functional (Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing,Performance Testing, Web Testing, User Acceptance Testing) including design, preparation and implementation of tests.
- Document test evidence and record-keeping of defects & issues into the defect tracking system.
- Demonstrating POC s for pepper IT applications using various automation tools.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment with a focus on exceptional service delivery.
- Assistance in test estimation, planning and risk management activities.
- Experienced in the Agile software development and QA life cycle.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Patient, flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure.
- A commitment to quality, standards and a thorough approach to the work.
- Ability to manage the work load with own initiative and bring innovative ideas to QA Board.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex ideas, designs and issues to both technical and non-technical staff.
Essential Experience
- Bachelor of Computer Science or similar.
- Foundation Certificate in Software Testing (ISEB).
- Microsoft SQL Server
Desired
- Experience within a similar role in the Financial Services industry
- Formal testing using Test Drive, Test Complete, Selenium and defect management skills using QC, Mantis, Infra, Jira, Redmine and Confluence.
