Derivatives & Agreements Analyst

Location: London, Near St Pauls

Rate: £200p/d

Start: June/July (allows for CRB and general checks to complete)

Duration: Initial 9months with potential extension

Interview Structure: 1 stage face to face interview

My high profile banking client based in London Nr St Pauls requires a Derivatives & Agreements Analyst to assistant on a 9 month contract to support their Agreements and Documentation team.

The role:

To review existing ISDA agreements and possibly Securities Lending, Repurchase Agreements and Futures Agreements/Cleared Derivatives and profile into an internal database the related Legal, Business and Credit terms contained in those documents. The employee will review agreements, identify pertinent information, accurately extract and profile data, track the status of the project in our system and assist with reporting on the progress of the project. This employee will also help aggregate and analyse large volumes of data that require reconciliation

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret agreements
  • Identify pertinent information
  • Accurately extract and profile data/enter and upload agreement into contract repository
  • Track status and assist with reporting.
  • Aggregate and analyse large volumes of data that require reconciliation as part of controls/exception review process
  • Check Dodd-Frank Good to Trade (GTT) status to ensure that the new counterparty is GTT or will be GTT once the data from MARKIT flows into the firm's system
  • Coordinate signatures, Scan, fax, copy, distribute by email, mail (priority, regular), documents for execution, executed agreements and notices
  • Work with offshore data quality team to answer their questions and check their work with respect to profiling terms of ISDA documentation in the firm's proprietary system

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience in agreements and documentation
  • Experience working in a financial services/banking environment
  • Ability to complete review of a high volume of documents in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral part of the team
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and good writing skills
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, ability to prioritise
  • Support needs-based project related work

Requirements:

  • Experience with ISDA,
