FinXL IT Professional Services is an established innovative Australian company providing technology enabled business solutions and consulting services across a number of industries including Telecommunications, Commercial, Government and Finance.
In Queensland our growth continues, especially in our managed service practice and as a result we have a new role available in our team.
We have a 3-6 month engagement for an Network Engineer on a part time bases. You will be providing additional support to the current team in the proactive management of their environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Trouble-shoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades and network performance continuous improvement and optimisation.
- Proactively monitor the network environment and identify potential issues ensuring best possible end-user experience. Provide weekly reports on status
- Capacity management and audit of IP Addressing and hosted devices
- Minimise impact to end-users during upgrades.
- Perform and assist in Infrastructure related jobs eg cabling, devices installation.
- Responsible for IP Telephony, CISCO UC and network faults escalations
- Take an active part in all Change Management with testing, communication and commissioning processes to ensure integrity of systems.
- Monitor and maintain full collaborative support for CISCO UC with communications provider
- Participate in projects and rollouts including major network systems upgrades such as VOIP and video conferencing systems

Required skills:
- At least 3 years direct experience in managing LAN and WANs using CISCO Routing/switching equipment.
- CISCO ASA VPN
- Unified Communications/VOIP/PABX Platforms
- Checkpoint Firewalls/Palo Firewalls/VMWARE/Bluecoat ProxySG
- Virtualised Switching
