THE COMPANY
ConSol Partner's client is currently seeking a Linux Expert to join a existing project on a contract basis. The client is a major telecommunications provider who are offering a initial 6 month extendable contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Linux Expert will report to the Linux/tooling Manager. He/she will be part of a team that designs, implements and operates tailor-made and standardized ICT solutions. He/she ensures service management, technical consultancy and pre/after sales support in order to meet/exceed customer expectation in accordance with contract requirements.
1. You implement, operate and maintain DC hosting and cloud solutions
2. You provide technical advice towards customers and colleagues in order to effectively inform them, and recommend the appropriate technical solution.
3. You follow-up on incidents and changes.
4. You implement new projects or update existing environments.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong Technical Experience in most of the following areas are required:
- Linux (RHE & CentOS, RHEL cluster)
- Strong Linux Application expertise (Apache, Weblogic, Tomcat, Varnish, FTP, SSH)
- Good database expertise (Oracle, Oracle RAC, MySQL)
- Virtualisation expertise
- Basic application/port security (IP tables, ) expertise
- Ansible Scripting expertise is a must
- OpenShift/Openstack expertise is a plus
- Development and or devops experience is a plus
- Ability to be Flexible with working hours/days - Office Hours/Evenings/Weekends
