Description
As Public Relations and Communications Officer, you will be key to the development, execution and management of the South West Lakes Trust's communication strategy, raising the regional profile of the charity. Working with the Head of Development, you will plan and deliver communications associated with SWLT's campaigns for fundraising. You will also support the delivery of the Wheal Martyn communication plan.
About you:
- Proven experience in public relations and communications (preferably in the leisure/tourism sector), including writing effective press releases and articles, managing websites and social media channels, organising and attending events and liaison with regional media contacts.
- Familiar with communications strategies with proven ability to achieve a best value Communications Plan
- Proven experience of producing printed and digital publications to high quality
- Involvement with campaign promotion and fundraising
- Good geographical knowledge of the south west
- Well organised and capable of working under own initiative and prioritising work loads
- Capable of preparing and delivering effective presentations
- Passionate about South West Lakes Trust's campaigns and ability to associate with these campaigns
- Able to work with a wide range of people and build strong relationships
- You will be degree level or equivalent educated in a subject relevant to the post.
- Ideally, you will be a Member of Chartered Institute of Marketers or Chartered Institute of PR
