A tier 1 investment bank based in the heart of Canary Wharf is looking to hire an experienced Java Developer for an exciting new role.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a world-class and to really get involved with an exciting new project. They are looking to build out their next-gen futures and options algorithmic trading platform completely from scratch. You will also get the opportunity to work alongside the quants and traders designing and implementing the trading strategies.
They are looking for confident candidates with a very strong Java background that have experience in the design and development of Algorithmic/e-trading platforms, trading strategies and analytical tools. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment, prior Front Office experience and a deep overall understating of options/cash/ETF/futures.
Skills Required:
- Expert-level core Java Knowledge in a UNIX/Linux environment
- Track record with trading and quantitative strategists
- Experienced with low-latency messaging Middleware pub/sub technologies
- Previous experience in systematic trading environments
- Knowledge of KDB or client Java dev would be nice but not essential
Skills Desired:
- Experience interacting with and writing KDB/Q queries
- Experience with Java/GC/Linux
- JavaFX GUI development
- OS level debugging/performance tuning
