Associate Creative Producer - Manchester, London, Blackpool, Newcastle upon Tyne, Leeds

General Responsibilities

Champion digital communication, set branding and design standards and provide advice and guidance to colleagues on the content production process. Build a comprehensive understanding of the audience(s) we need to reach and the sort of content that will cut through.

Create and own the content plan, working with other member of the BPDTS Engage Team to understand and contribute towards campaign plans. Create and edit high quality content that includes web content, video, photos, graphics and audio, with full knowledge of how to optimise the effectiveness in the channel being used Publish content across a variety of digital platforms and manage a content and image inventory. Work with other members of the team on event production, especially content planning, pre-during-after content production and running AV production where required.

Evaluate the effectiveness of content delivered following GCS evaluation best practice. Ensure internal alignment with external content by working closely other members of the BPDTS Engage and DWP Digital Engagement teams.

Essential Skills

Proven effectiveness in developing multiple formats of optimised digital content, for use across multiple channels, and ideally for a large complex organisation - likely to include professional video production and graphic design.

Proven experience of developing, implementing and evaluating content plans

Ability to develop strong relationships and networks within team and across the wider organisation

Ability to gather and apply audience insight to inform content approach Ability to translate complex information into concise, engaging content which is accessible to non-technical audiences

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to deliver at pace, managing competing priorities and changing deadlines

Creativity and proactivity, with the energy and imagination to come up with new ideas and improvements Candidates must also meet GCS competencies at IO level, including:

Insight - Use insight to identify target audiences and partners, support decision making and help inform the overall communication approach

Ideas - Demonstrate a practical understanding of emerging digital services, tools and trends, including techniques for optimising digital content.

Implementation - Edit, revise and optimise copy and content - including latest search engine optimisation best practice for internal channels.

Impact - Advise on, monitor, summarise and provide analysis of effectiveness indicators for digital communication.

Desirable

delivery experience across a wide range of communications disciplines, including internal communications, marketing, PR, media relations and social media

You'll work as part of a team to help develop and deliver a varied engagement strategy. Driving forward innovative and creative digital content approaches, you'll support campaign delivery and deliver important news stories to a wide range of audiences, in interesting, engaging and informative ways.
