Job Description
Our client is seeking NOC Support Engineer to work with the Network Support Analyst and they are responsible for coordinating and performing the districts networking design, configuration and support needs. He/she will work under the general supervision of the Network Infrastructure Manager and IT Director who has overall responsibility for the group.
Scope of Work/Key Responsibilities:
Advance knowledge and understanding of network routing/switching and security.
- Proficiency in designing/maintaining high availability network infrastructure - Maintenance, installation, and design of routing and switching in LAN/WAN topologies, particularly with Cisco, F5, Netscaler and Bluecat products.
- Proficiency in IT Network protocols such as Metro-Ethernet, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, QoS, spanning tree, VLAN tagging, etherchannel/link aggregation, network and port address translation.
- Proficiency in security controls specifically: implementing, administering and maintaining Cisco ASA Firewall.
- Cisco CCNP required
Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years' work experience (minimum) 5+ years preferred:
- Minimum three years of Cisco Routing and Switching experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficient in understanding of network, switching and routing support (from end-user point of view)
- Knowledge of best practice security standards and techniques
- Prior experience with IT Network protocols is a MUST.
- Must have clean criminal record with the ability to pass finger-print background check
- Must be authorized to work in the Unites States.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.

Education/Training:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- 3-5 years' experience in network support. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Work:
This work will be completed on-site at the any of our client's sites or building in the metro Atlanta area. The specialist would need to work M, T, W, TH, and F (typically 8am - 5pm).
