Description
We are currently looking for a 220kV SAP for one of our leading renewable energy clients. This is for their offshore wind farm project. The SAP will be required to start this initial 6 month freelance role from the 1st August 2018 up until 31st January 2019 with the possibility to extend further thereafter. Rotations will occur, 7 days a week, 10hrs per day, 2 on/2 off. You will be on board vessel or flotel, however this may change due to demand from the project. The Consultant must have all valid GWO's including Chester step.Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for electrical issues according to the clients country legislation and regulations
- Define safety procedures for electrical matters
- To implement a permit system for Electrical Safety Rules
- Coordinate MV/HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages
- To advise operationally on HV electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations and both HV submarine and onshore cables
- Oversea safe commissioning of grid connections MV/HV/LV plant and equipment
- Oversea all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network
- Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and ensure that all processes work effectively
- Attend a FAT and SAT test if required
- Assist O&M when required
- Coordinate with National Grid and attend commissioning panel meetings
- Update MV/HV/LV schematic diagrams.
- 2-5 years commissioning experience within the field of high voltage electricity, offshore experience preferable
- Electrical Engineer or similar level
- Working for the client would be advantageous
- 220kV SAP
- Must have full GWO courses
- Full Medical test, incl Chester step.
Special Provisions
The consultant must have his/her own PC with MS Office software and must be in possession of an iPhone 4S, 5C, 5S, 6 or 6+ or a Windows Phone 8.1.
The consultant must also have his/her own PPE equipment.
