Job Description
The Traded Loans Operations team support various Loan Trading business lines within the Global Markets area. The main trading desk supported by the team is the GCSS Loan Trading Desk, however the team also supports loan activity for the Emerging Markets, Mortgages and Equity Structured Finance across the EMEA and Asia regions. All of these business lines will have their own individual trading books and strategies and predominantly buy, sell or originate corporate loans.
The Loan Operations team are responsible for:
- Responsible for creating, negotiating and agreeing LMA & bespoke confidentiality agreements directly with sales desks and clients
- Work closely with other internal teams - Legal, Conflicts or Compliance on document negotiations and asset information sharing.
- Comprehensive review of public vs. private side asset information to ensure compliance with internal info sharing policy
- Maintain online sharing database (SyndTrak) with public or private side asset information with regular review of internal and external client access
- Preparation of frequent reports and statistics for the trading desks and management.
- Responsible for preparing, negotiating and agreeing loan trading documentation with both the trading desk and clients (LMA trading terms and conditions).
- Managing par asset inventory and coordinating trade settlement with external counterparties, including client and agent banks.
- Ability to self-manage portfolio of cross desk trades across different product lines.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work across a range of business partners and in a team environment
Other experience: industry experience
- Knowledge of drafting/negotiating Confidentiality Agreements
- Experience of negotiating and closing secondary loan trades
- A good level of understanding of the secondary loan trading market and the forms of documentation used
- Spanish language skills an advantage
