Vacancy: Market Analyst/Market Researcher - Innovation Factory - (6 months)

Location: Royston

An exciting opportunity has arisen in JM Innovation Factory for a Market Analyst/Market Researcher to support the Innovation Portfolio Manager in nurturing and assessing new ideas within the topic of Air Purification. The role will provide the necessary market analysis and marketing support to progress ideas through to proof of concept phases, in accordance with a defined operating process.

Key responsibilities

  • Completing market analysis using internal and external resources: market structure, size, value, growth drivers, competitors, value chain, key players, market needs, customer requirements.

  • Validating market needs or industry challenges through discussions with industry players or potential customers or by coordinating early voice of the customer studies.

  • Building relationships with potential customers or new partners.

  • Capturing trends and innovations in the Air Purification area/tracking market activity and producing regular reports.

  • Providing general marketing support (eg setting up customer/partner/expert meetings, preparing agendas and presentation), organising and logging information and ideas in the Ideation module of the Innovation Portfolio and on SharePoint.

Are you the ideal candidate?

You will:

  • Be educated to a degree level or equivalent, with interest and curiosity for new innovations and marketing

  • Have work experience in an innovation, business strategy or marketing environment, ideally in a sector related to Air Purification or Clean Air technologies

  • Be passionate and self-driven with strong presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Be able to network internally and externally

  • Demonstrate experience in conducting market analysis, using cold calling techniques, building customer relationships

  • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Be able to prioritise easily and work in a fast-paced environment
