Job Title: Application Security Architect
Job Type: Contract

Contract Rate: Euro 700 per day
Contract Length: 12 Months with multiple extensions
Our Client, one of the world's foremost IT Consultancies, is looking to recruit a Contract Application Security Architect to join their client in Brussels.
The security architect will integrate in the ETS Architects Team, in charge of operations, trouble shooting, and technical evolution of the application.
The application security architect will be asked to execute the (non-exhaustive) following tasks:
- Contribute to the definition of the security requirements, proposing improvements to security architecture and implementation on existing applications
- Contribute to the evolution of the current architecture, with special emphasis on security issues
- Act as liaison with the Security sector, to translate requirements into implementation, evaluating appropriate solutions to business and security requirements
- Prepare requests for security and architectural services to the development contractor
- Design and implementation of proof of concept of security solutions
- Assess changes of infrastructure (including architectural changes) proposed by our hosting partner
- Review technical documentation, including code review
The contractor is required to have an in-depth knowledge and professional experience in the following areas:
As an application architect:
- Minimum 3 years of recent practical experience in IT application and security architecture, in the field of protection of web applications, on security best practices and on how to engineer software and servers to prevent and confront attacks.
- Certification recognized internationally (CISSP, CISM, etc.), including Security Architecture and Engineering, Software Development Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Security Assessment and Testing
- Minimum 3 years of experience implementing security layer on complex web applications, based on Java frameworks,
- Experience with Java cryptographic libraries for encryption, signing and authentication.
- Deep technical knowledge of IT technology; the list of possibly required skills for the position includes but is not limited to: OWASP, identity and access management -CAS, SAML, OAUTH, JWT-, Weblogic, J2EE, microservices, etc.
- Deep knowledge of Oracle DBMS, including data modelling and security options.
- Coordination of various stakeholders, good communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- Good documentation drafting skills
