Senior Network and Security Engineer ( Azure ) - Central London- circa £ per day - Long Term Prospect
Senior Network and Security Engineer ( Azure ) required to work alongside another Senior N&S engineer (CCIE), as part of a larger infrastructure team of 9 and a wider IT team of 20.
Heavy users of Azure and SFB Cloud; this person needs to be a trusted advisor and a doer above all. They will be technically able but also have excellent business engagement skills.
Skills and Experience Required
- CCNP or equivalent
- Cisco Routers/Switches/Security
- Ability to demonstrate good troubleshooting methodology
- Security good practice
- Cisco Networking [ASR, Nexus, vPC, VRF,CoS, QoS]
- Meraki [Wireless]
- NAC [Network Access Control], 802.1X, Cisco ISE, Cisco AnyConnect
- Cisco ASA Firewalls, VPN, NAT, DNS,
- Hardware load balancing [F5 LTM]
- Linux/Unix
- IP Routing & routing protocols [OSPF, BGP, EIGRP]
- Antivirus & Endpoint security [Symantec]
The following will be deemed highly desirable
Fortinet Fortigate
Knowledge of Quality of Service and traffic management [CoS/QoS, Queuing etc.)
MS Azure, Amazon AWS, or other public cloud
Web & mail security
Federation, SAML2
Solarwinds
IP Telephony, UC
Server virtualisation, VMWare, HyperV
You will also have project management experience, excellent communications skills with the ability to communicate comfortably both one on one and with larger groups of people. You will have an understanding of Change Control and ITIL practices with excellent organisational and planning skills.
Candidates should be available to start on 23rd July as there will be a handover period with the present incumbent.
