Description

We are currently searching for a Project Manager- video surveillance management to work in in the Hague, Netherlans for 6 months + extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

Typical Experience: 10+ years in IT; Typical Program Size: 10-15 FTE; Graduate or post graduate; Substantial experience and demonstrable IT project delivery; Previous specific domain knowledge of Physical Security and Video surveillance and associated tooling and Vendors is an advantage;

Professional certifications related to project management (eg PMP, Prince 2 Practitioner, MSP, PgMP); Demonstrated learning agility in ambiguous and unfamiliar situations; Familiar with and be able to adhere to project management methodologies and tools; Strong communication and presentation skills; Strong stakeholder management skills - including experience coaching stakeholders.

Job Special challenges:

Projects are inherently resource- and time constrained. As a consequence, there often exists tension between cost, time and risk considerations on one hand and quality, supportability and architectural compliance on the other. The Project Manager must find the right balance between these. Excellent networking and team working skills are a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be able to adjust priorities and confirm with on-shore management in a pro-active manner.

Ability to work on multiple Projects and Project Activities at any one time. To identify and escalate key technical issues and decisions to obtain resolution. Because some of the contracts are in Dutch, the person needs to be able to speak/write in Dutch.

Following are the accountabilities:

  • Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all aspects of the project life cycle. Rigorously manage scope through a structured change management process to ensure that commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits.
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholder change and communication plans and engagements are developed and executed.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to identify and address the major factors, assumptions and risks (including technical, business, adoption, organizational, government, cultural, etc.).
  • The systems in this portfolio are used 24*7 across all regions and operating. The position represents an opportunity to interact with many different areas of the company, from production facilities and refineries to labs and offices. The systems provide an interesting and challenging hybrid blend between the world of applications and site infrastructure.
  • Excellent networking and team working skills are a must. Experience and comfort with virtual working.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, be able to adjust priorities and confirm with on-shore management in a pro-active manner. Ability to work on multiple Projects and Project Activities at any one time. To identify and escalate key technical issues and decisions to obtain resolution.
