Role Summary: This is a key position and will in accordance with the EUs General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), My client a public sector and Support Agency urgently needs a Data Protection Officer for their GDPR programme. Be responsible for monitoring compliance with the GDPR and other European and national data protection laws and policies. Reporting to the appointee will be staff within the Data Protection Unit.
This is a daily rate contract €650 + P/D
Role Responsibilities: Working with Corporate Services, review the Data Protection Management System and implement a revised Data Protection Operating Model for the Agency. Be the independent advocate for data protection and privacy within the Agency by providing inputs to internal training courses and building a culture of data privacy culture within the Agency. Drive the enhancement to policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, best practices, templates and checklists to enable the Agency to meet data protection obligations and ensure consistency in application. Manage the assignment of Data Protection delegations to deliver compliance with data protection laws and policies throughout the Agency.
The ideal candidate: will have Demonstrable evidence of working knowledge of EU data protection legislation. Experience in Information Governance, Technical projects, Data Protection and regulatory change roles. This position will suit an experienced (6+ years) as a Senior Manager in Data Protection or a related field + GDPR exp
This is a daily rate contract for 6 months initially. Based in Dublin City Centre. €650+ p/d
