Description

The Commercial Banking (CB) division supports our business clients from small businesses to large corporates, with a range of propositions fully segmented according to client needs. The division operates a client centric approach, primarily focused on UK and UK-linked businesses, with client segments comprising Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME), Mid Markets, Global Corporates and Financial Institutions.

Role: Finance Manager
A role has arisen within the Divisional Financial Reporting team within the wider Pan Finance Centre of Excellence for statutory and regulatory control. The divisional reporting team is responsible for the coordination, production, analysis and assurance of Statutory returns and disclosures included FINREP reporting for Lloyds Bank Plc, Bank of Scotland Plc and other Lloyds Banking Group entities on an individual and consolidated basis. This includes associated and external disclosures for the RNS statements, Divisional Results, News Release, Investor Presentations, Annual Report & Accounts and 20F.

We are also responsible for the delivery of monthly Commercial Banking Divisional management reporting to Group and supporting analysis - Final monthly management reporting by product/coverage, Flash to final p&L and balance sheet reporting and commentary, FX reporting, credit risk reporting, margins reporting and analysis etc.

Key Accountabilities

- Production including investigation and challenge of monthly divisional p&l and balance sheet reporting and analysis with supporting commentary to Group Finance in a time pressured environment.

- Production of divisional external submissions to Group Finance, in a time pressured environment over month-end and quarter end. This includes ensuring appropriate level of control and challenge, collation manipulation and analysis of data to facilitate note production and the verification of the key financials to the ledger.

- Undertake variance analysis and adequate challenge of outputs.

- Build strong, sustainable relationships with key stakeholders - business areas in order to understand their business and appropriately challenge inputs received, Group Finance ensuring there is continued engagement and timely and accurate messaging on behalf of the Division.

- Effective communication and Interaction with Finance business partners, wider Pan Finance Centre of excellence teams and Group Finance as required.
- Work with a number of senior stakeholders across Finance and Risk to ensure that all deadlines are met.

- Support the Senior Manager in wider team planning and deliverables.
- Ad hoc analysis to meet the requirements of the senior team and Group Finance.

Capabilities

- Producing of timely, Management, statutory and PRA related reporting and insight for the division.

- Strong attention to detail, analytical review and challenge and a proven track record of delivery in time pressured environment.

- Establish and build relationships with Finance stakeholders and other key stakeholders across LBG including Risk and Regulatory reporting.

- Strong self work, planning, organisation skills.

- Good interpersonal skills.

- Proactively challenge processes to support a culture of continuous improvement.

- Ability to implement change.
