Job Description
Purpose of the role: to implement the DevOps scope for the project that is deploying and operating the solution based on SAP products (S/4HANA, Data Services, BI Platform and HANA DB). The scope also includes the implementation of project specific DevOps metrics and dashboards that provide an aggregated feed into global DevOps dashboards.
Working closely with both project team members as well as the operations team to implement the following standards that are applied to SAP products ecosystem:
Work Management, preferably in Jira to enable common audit trail, automatic ticket creation in backlogs, certain quantifiable KPIs of planned vs. actual effort.
Source Code Management across all instances where an application code can be stored (HANA Calculation Views, CDS Views, ABAP programs, BODS jobs and workflows, BI platform reports business logic).
Build Management including the implementation of continuous integration services for automating SAP software development workflows.
Automated testing including the automated testing of Fiori user interface, leading to robust and repeatable operational testing processes
Automated deployment across all SAP products in scope, eliminating current manual deployment process and as a result improving deployment frequency and lead time. The deployment process should include automated roll backs.
Release Management to assist with planning, executing, and tracking deployments for single or a suite of related applications.
