Description
A Federal Government Department in Canberra is seeking the services of Microsoft Exchange Engineer.
Contract Period: Aug 2018 to 30 June 2019 (Option to extend for a further 12 months)
The Department requires the services of a Microsoft Exchange Engineer who will be responsible for the execution for a range of project/BAU activities and tasks.
The services will include and not be limited to:
- Providing technical assistance at the SME level to assist with Messaging services projects and BAU;
- Providing technical solutions to Messaging requirements;
- Implementing system changes, upgrades, configuration and administration on Microsoft Exchange 2010 and 2016 environments;
- Performing troubleshooting at all levels, including technical resolutions and preparing technical documentations;
- Contributing and reviewing technology and system architecture artefacts (solution designs/blueprints);
- Attending technical meetings and workshops;
- Taking ownership of technical project risks relating to the Exchange environments.
Mandatory/Essential Criteria:*
- 5+ years' experience in Exchange environments;
- Experience providing architectural guidance and strategic insight on ICT and assist in mapping technical requirements to business objectives;
- Demonstrated highly developed analytical, fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills and strategic solutions in a changing environment;
- Proven ability to work within a structured IT governance framework and deliver results that adhere to relevant Commonwealth standards and policies;
- Highly developed analysis, problem solving, leadership and management skills, whilst maintaining professionalism and sound judgement;
Desirable Criteria:*
- Whilst a Baseline Clearance is essential, a Negative Vetting 1 Clearance is highly desirable;
- Experience in Machinery of Government based work.
