We require a Process Engineer to join a global pharmaceutical company located in the South West UK for an initial 6-month duration. Our global client is going from strength to strength and there are a number of exciting refurbishment projects in the pipeline. This is a great chance to be involved in the full project life cycle with the opportunity to move into other projects and areas of this fast-paced business.

Role and responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering technical expertise to support the operations of the site in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Engineering Practice (GEP).
  • Optimisation of Manufacturing areas and equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency in terms of cost and availability.
  • Deliver improvements to equipment reliability and availability, maintaining metrics and KPI to demonstrate performance.
  • Resolve complex problems that do not have routine solutions.
  • Provide support to craft and technician grade personnel when technical issues are escalated.
  • Advise on equipment selection, participating in detailed design development and working with Technical Services to ensure robust solutions are implemented to ensure compliance/reliability within aseptic/sterile areas.
  • Support process activities to verify facilities/utilities/equipment and systems will operate in accordance with design intent and to ensure installation and commissioning tasks are executed.
  • Provide support for projects to ensure the completion of key engineering deliverables including vendor assessments, design reviews and factory/site acceptance testing.
  • Support the generation and archiving of related project documentation including validation plans, test protocols, drawings and reports.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or chemical.
  • Ideally 3 - 5 years' experience.
  • Previous experience in an aseptic/sterile manufacturing environment.
