Are there any HSE Engineers out their currently looking for a new freelance contract role? Are you available to start from the 1st August, or even sooner, this role could be for you.
We are helping one of our leading renewable energy clients to find x2 HSE Engineers to work on various projects for their offshore wind farm projects. Must have a minimum 5 years. experience and must have full valid GWO's and HUET certifications. This role is anticipated to start from the 1st August 2018 up until 30th November 2018 with the possibility to extend further thereafter. The Consultants can be located in the vicinity of their homes or as close to the client's sites as possible, this will need to be discussed but for example Grimsby, Essex, Liverpool would be ideal, experience from coordination HSE within onshore cable installation and termination is required.
Responsibilities:
- To implement and Q/A of the HSE management systems and reporting systems including potential site specific instructions.
- To plan, execute and document HSE activities and results using agreed procedures.
- Efficient Site HSE Team support to:
- The project organisation, site organisations, Contractors.
- Must be able to demonstrate commitment to develop HSE activities within Site HSE.
- Must be a role model for the safety culture and promote effective management of HSE.
- Risk assessments.
- HSE arrangements & Construction activities.
- Overall safety performance.
- Design risk assessments.
- Incident analysis.
- Audits/evaluation.
- Ad hoc duties, as required.
Qualifications:
- 5 years minimum professional experience and experience within offshore wind farm industry would be an advantage.
- Must have full valid GWO certificates, HUET.
- Must have an aptitude for working at heights and offshore, as you will be required to visit the wind turbines on a frequent basis.
- Must have completed IOSH course or NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to certificate level.
- Preferably completed NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to diploma level.
- Must be able to demonstrate work experience with HSE ideally from within a construction background.
- Experience in construction design and management from offshore wind projects or from engineering an advantage.
Special Provisions:
The Consultant must have his/her own PC with MS Office software and must be in possession of an i-phone 4S, 5C, 5S, 6 or 6+ or a Windows Phone 8.1. together with his/her own PPE equipment.
