Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major client in the UK. We are currently recruiting Planner & Scheduler to be based in Bristol for an initial period of 5 Months.
Role: Planner & Scheduler
Location: Bristol
Duration: 5 Months with possibility of extension
Main duties:
- Multi Mission Aircraft (MMA) Planner & Scheduler;
- Planner and Scheduler on a large Military Acquisition Portfolio with responsibilities for producing and maintaining multiple schedules in conjunction with the Project Managers and Industry.
Key Tasks and Deliverables;
- Production and maintenance of large acquisition, support and external schedules in Primavera P6.
- Monthly Drumbeat Cycle
- Update of Schedule Baselines and advice to Project Managers of Scheduling Techniques. Monthly
- Progression and Assessment of Schedule Performance leading to production of Cost Performance Reporting and Variance Analysis. Monthly
- Schedule Resource Planning. As required
- Schedule Risk Analysis. As required
- Production of Reports detailing Progress and Maturity of Schedules. Monthly
Experience Required
- Previous experience of DE&S Project Acquisition, Manufacturing and In-Service are essential. Scheduling experience using Primavera P6 and the use of Office Tools (MS Excel and MS Project) to an intermediate/advanced level are necessary to perform this role. Cost Performance Reporting and a full understanding of Schedule Performance and Cost Performance Indicators would be desirable. It would be useful but not essential to have an understanding of the Military Aircraft Certification Process and Release To Service Life Cycles.
