Description

We currently have a vacancy for one Wintel Engineer to offer his/her services within a Financial organisation(client) in Luxembourg to start ASAP a 6 months (initial) in an EN-speaking environment.

Extensions are possible. Our client is an international Financial service provider and a great reference in any CV.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Daily monitoring and maintenance tasks on our Infrastructure.
Monitoring and maintaining Servers & Storage, both Hardware and Software
Monitoring and maintaining VMware infrastructure
Enhance the Server/Storage infrastructure to productively manage availability to business.
Provide 2nd/3rd Line support for Server Hardware and OS, VMWare & Storage
Assist in the support of our Backup solution, EVault
Participate in the On Call Support rota

Ad hoc duties

Provide out of hours On Call support
Work out of business hours when required

Skills & Experience

At least 5 years in an enterprise IT environment with a high level of exposure to Wintel systems.
A full understanding of Windows Server OS, in particular Windows 2012 & 2016
Strong knowledge of HP Hardware - Including Blade Infrastructure & Rack mounted Servers
Good Knowledge in Active Directory
Good Knowledge of VMWare technologies
Familiarity with HP Storage range - specifically HP 3PAR
Some basic understanding of Cloud technologies such as Azure, Amazon AWS & Logic Monitor would be beneficial
Preferred - Very good troubleshooting skills in the platforms environment
Preferred - Comfortable working in a Global Technology Team and participating in global activities

Others

  • Language skills in English, both written and spoken is mandatory; French would be an asset;
