L1 Unix Linux Support

1 year Contract
The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience on Redhat Linux.
Should be well versed with:
- Linux user and group administration
- Patching of Linux Servers
- Create LVM Physical & Logical Volumes/Expand Existing Filesystems
- Create Basic Shell Scripts & Debug Existing Scripts ( not mandatory but it would be an added advantage )
- Monitor systems for items such as CPU, RAM, storage, etc.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform system administration tasks to ensure efficient and reliable Linux Servers for the corporation.
- Provide day-to-day end-user support with a high level of customer service. Working in conjunction with support groups, end users and vendor's resources to troubleshoot and quickly resolve hosted application errors.
- Create, upgrade, and maintain scripts required for system management, backups and automation at the same time maintain systems documentation including procedures, guidelines and policies.
- Be familiar with all aspects of troubleshooting and take part in the team's on-call 24x7 rotation.
- Work on service requests of one or more types performed by the team based on the agreed SLA.
- Manage or participate in projects with diverse stakeholders
