Description

An experienced lawyer is required for a Financial Services business based in Central London. This is a 6-month rolling contract to start ASAP, rates are proffered at £400 -£500 pd.

You will be a qualified corporate/commercial lawyer with 5-6 years PQE, ideally in a financial services based environment. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be comfortable handling large volumes of work under strict time constraints. Financial regulation experience is preferred.

  • Desire and ability to question assertively until a workable, appropriately robust and comprehensive solution is found;
  • A good attention to valuable detail, with an ability to stand ground and skilfully probe where there may be gaps to discover;
  • Practiced at being pragmatic, being able to distinguish between material and non-material issues and deal with each diplomatically and appropriately;
  • Ability to exercise good judgement of when it is appropriate to take a risk to achieve an outcome, and when this cannot be done, finding an alternative mechanism and when to escalate.
  • General commercial contracts experience (preferred)
  • Financial Services experience (preferred)
  • You will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • You will have the opportunity to work with people across the business and as a result, strong stakeholder management skills are also required
