Java Developer Contract

Our client are an award winning Internet company operating in the E-commerce industry. They offer a an informal, friendly working environment, flexible working arrangements and some interesting problems to solve around payment systems, microservices and event driven architectures.
They are looking for hands on, agile Java software engineers to work in cross-functional Java teams. As a Java Software Developer you'd work within the payments and checkout team and get involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle including some DevOps and deployments work.
Their Java software developers work on the greenfield design and development of their checkout and transaction based user journey. They are developing containerised, microservices using Docker and Mesos running on AWS. The way the team approach coding also really stands out, they follow continuous delivery, deploy regularly, sometimes up to 6-8 times a day, which gives great visibility in your work. The team also advocate the use of TDD, they care about writing clean, maintainable code.
Requirements
- Java 8, Spring Boot, JavaScript (ReactJS)
- TDD, able to develop clean, robust and scalable code
- Experience in Cloud based web services (AWS, EC2, etc)
