Synergis is looking for a Windows Systems Engineer for our client. This is an exciting role for individuals who thrive on high profile projects on the cutting edge of infrastructure technology. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, has a passion for continual improvement and solving technical challenges through engineering, coding, and automation.
The successful candidate will join a cross-functional team working on building and automating internal software defined infrastructure.

This is a 6 months contract job.
Some evenings and weekend work will be required.
Windows Systems Engineer - Responsibilities:
Design, develop and implement infrastructure and automation solutions
Automate and orchestrate delivery of infrastructure solutions built within the datacenters
Contribute code to multiple automation projects
Utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling a DevOps model
Streamline deployment of infrastructure into consumable services
Provide input on the future implementation of infrastructure with a strong emphasis on automation, security, scalability and resiliency
Windows Systems Engineer - Qualifications and Experience:
Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the System Engineer level; exceptional customer service, overall communication and technical writing skills.
Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level;
Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision;
Ability to enhance the technical expertise of peers via the development of product training and team content development;
Ability to apply technology to improve existing products and systems;
Ability to actively participate in team support by proposing and implementing solutions;
Windows Systems Engineer - Technical Requirements:
Candidate must possess working knowledge of and demonstrated technical proficiency in:
o Windows Server and Microsoft Client Products
o Active Directory
o Hyper-V Hypervisor and Failover Clustering
Solid understanding and use of PowerShell
Solid understanding of Client Server, networking, and Internet technologies fundamentals
Five or more year's industry experience with Microsoft products, effective learning skills, works well in a team environment, Strong problem-solving skills
Windows Systems Engineer - Education or Experience Requirements:
College degree, preferably in Computer Science, is preferred
MCSE strongly preferred
Will consider related field (or equivalent) experience.
