Mechanical Design Engineer
An experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract) is required to join an established product design engineering team based in Bolton.
The role will incorporate concept through to installation involvement including trial builds and prototyping of new designs, providing feedback to the design team.
Duties will typically include:
Design of digital outdoor displays
Product modifications of current product range
Enactment of change requests including generation of output data and BOM's
Essential skills:
Experience of Solidworks 3D and 2D drawings essential.
Experience working with a PDM system essential, Solidworks PDM enterprise (professional) an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of 3D design process and best practice.
Excellent knowledge of general mechanical and engineering 2D drawing standards.
Sheet metal fabrication 3D design and 2D drawings and documentation essential.
Experience in aluminium extrusion an advantage.
